What is one anime you think everyone should watch this season and why?

My suggestion is Hinamatsuri and my reasoning is simple: it has magic and yakuza but best of all family.

Hinamatsuri isn't my favorite of the season, but it's the one that I feel like I can recommend to the most people. It's just fun and I think most people will be able to find things they like about it.

AITA!!!

I read the manga and I think it's some unholy amalgam of Usagi Drop and Danshi Koukousei no Nichijou. Love it so much.

No contest... Megalo Box.

Megalo box. It's shaping up to be a classic.

Thant's exactly how I would describe it. The art, the characters, the music. Everything about it feels like a classic

Haven't heard any decent Japanese rap like this one since Devilman Crybaby. Am entertained, verily.

The music for that was done by Kensuke Ushio (a.k.a. agraph) who is one of my favorite composers OF ALL TIME. He also did Ping Pong The Animation and Koe no Katachi.
He's an absolute genius.

What if you don’t like the concept of boxing? Is it still interesting?

I've never watched a boxing, basketball, baseball or volleyball match in real life but i still enjoy it when it's in anime cos there more to it than just the sport. You might end up trying that sport after seeing it in anime and discover you're actually good at it and you enjoy it(probably)

I've never been a fan of boxing and I think I'm nearly 900 chapters into Hajime no Ippo. I've also watched all 3 seasons and anything else that was released. If you like hype and energy and most of the time strong story lines w/ stronger characters sports manga / anime seem to have those qualities in spades. I guess that's so long as you can get passed the sports part which isn't too hard since it's still enjoyable without being an expert and a good sports series will hand hold non-understanding fans into understanding bit by bit and usually in neat ways.

Megalo Box! Absolutely stellar animation, voice acting, and plot so far. I'd normally recommend MHA Season 3, Shokugeki No Souma Season 3 Part 2, or Steins;Gate 0... all incredibly popular and great anime with great ratings on MAL, but those are all continuations of an anime. So you'd have to watch the previous seasons in order to really get into these.
Seriously, try Megalo Box if you haven't! Got hooked on day 1.

Fumikiri Jikan, because everyone has 3 minutes of spare time

Same with Alice x Alice and Tachibanakan Triangle, lots of 3 minute shows this season

Kinda sad that barely anyone is paying attention to Hisone to Maso-tan
https://myanimelist.net/anime/36884/Hisone_to_Maso-tan?q=maso

It had my favourite first episode I’ve seen in a while.

Very amazing start! Will vouch. Give it a shot everyone!

Tada-Kun yes, it's a typical romance slice of life but after watching episode 2 I found the connection between all the characters great fun. It felt like these high school student would hang out in a photography club together.

TadaKoi is just all around lighthearted and sweet. I'd recommend it to anyone looking for something fun too this season

Saiki Kusuo no Ψ-nan 2. And the first season if you haven't seen it. I can't understand why so few people watch it. It's easily the best comedy anime I've ever seen.

I started it yesterday and i wonder why don't people add Saiki in the most OP characters ever lol. He is Saitama+Mob but a nirmal high school student in a normal(not so) world.

Steins;Gate 0
Remember to watch the alternate 23-β episode and if you haven't watched original Steins;Gate then what the fuck are you even doing here?

I'd also reccomend rewatching the last 10 minutes of 23 before watching 23 beta, so you know exactly what changed.

Legend of Galactic Heroes: Die Neue These because this new adaptation follows a story filled with giant space battles, war tactics, and corruption in politics. It shows promise although it may not live up to the original (which I also recommend to check out. Truly amazing!).

I had Megalo Box and Hinamatsuri battling it out for favourite series in the first two weeks, and then a certain tsundere dragon came along and stole the whole season.
Hisone to Masotan just oozes charm and outright fun. It's almost like there's some old school Disney and Ghibli "heart" in there. Really have a good feeling about this show.

Golden Kamuy so they can see the history about the Ruso-Japanese war and culture.
And also... hinna hinna!!

GeGeGe no Kitaro because its a great show if you dig supernatural and the opening theme is frickin catchy
In what I’d call a dark horse I’d go with Umrasurai Pretty Derby, I’ve normally stayed away from slice of life but I’ve been trying to expand my anime horizons

≫Umrasurai
Umamusume
Not sure what rasurai means, but we're talking about horse girls here.
uma = horse, musume = daughter, girl

Hisone to Masotan had an incredibly first episode with tons of style, personality and just great character writing. Just nailed every aspect and really is a highly anticipated show this season for me now.

Love is hard for an Otaku. Seems to be very wholesome, I hope it doesn't go underrated <3

Major 2nd simply because baseball is fun and more people should watch baseball

I don't even like baseball that much, but I'm enjoying Major 2nd so far!

Darling in the FranXX. Simply because it's an absolutely rollercoaster. It's fairly high quality and fun to begin with, so it's not the "Watch the trainwreck" stuff, but at the same time it's almost unpredictable half the time and watching people's speculation and theories explode each week is great fun.
Ichigo managed to get about 2/3+ of /a/ dedicated to her almost all day today.

Tough call! For returning series, Hero Aca 3, Steins;Gate 0 and Hich School DxD Hero look to be promising. For new series... I agree with Hinamatsuri, a supernatural slice-of-life that isn't playing out like most other slice-of-life shows I've seen, with some decent and funny moments in just its first two episodes.

Shokugeki No Soma. There's a few seasons to binge and the current season is on going if you've never seen it. I think some ecchi scenes in the first season turn some people off of it but this anime has so much more to offer than that. The characters are what make this anime stand out. Every single one has so much personality and surprisingly they don't feel generic. I find myself getting similarly excited for cook-offs as I would for a big fight scene in other animes. Its also cool that you learn about clever cooking techniques that turn the tide of the shokugeki. Its definitely worth your time.

Caligula. Its nothing special for now but its being enjoyable

Persona 5 just cause i really love the game.
