[Boruto] Episode 54 impressions

Episode 54
"Sasuke and Boruto"

That Sasuke fight scene was amazing!

The full fight is in the movie Boruto: Naruto the Movie

Oh nice, I hadnt seen the movie yet.

I feel like most of the awkward cheating Boruto does could have been prevented right then if Sasuke just said wait 1 sec bro i didn't finish, then the whole movie changes plot. It was cool seeing Sakura's and Sarada's reaction to Sasuke just returning home all of a sudden. Also the scientist dude is portrayed to be way more sketchy than in the movie, so him showing up all the time and making things worse makes more sense later on.

I kind of get where Sasuke is coming from. If Boruto himself doesn’t understand why using that tool is wrong Sasuke taking it away doesn’t really achieve anything. And if theirs one consistent truth with Boruto it’s that he doesn’t listen to adults who tell him he’s wrong.

Man I can’t skip this ED it’s so damn good.

Agreed. If only the opening matched in quality.

I love how happy Sarada is! It's nice to see that they can be a family a lot longer this time thanks to the Chuunin exams.

Man, I just wanna get past this bullshit with the ninja tool and the bad attitude so that I can watch Sasuke train Boruto for real. Also goddamn, the Uchiha family melts my heart,

The Uchiha have come a long way from a Clan famed for killing and death. Now they actually portray the immense love they were supposed to, I'm really fucking happy.

I love the Uchiha family. Sarada is just precious, and Sakura's reaction to her husband coming home was cute, she had not expected it at all lol! Also can't wait to Himawari becomes a badass ninja. Looking forward to this arc, always nice with more OG character action!

Snake phone coming soon to a sprint store near you

Damn, they absolutely outdid themselves with the Sasuke fight.

That one was form the movie (with slight adjustments at the start and end to better fit into the series), here's the movie version of the scene.

That moment when you have to ring the doorbell to your own house.
Himawari continues to be precious.
That's a cool way for Boruto to figure out how to do Rasengan.

Sasuke has come a long way , the fights and the love he shows for his family is just amazing. You can actually see in his eyes that he is an incredible softy at heart. I know he will make a worthy man out of Boruto.

Holy fucking shit! Boruto is a frigging genius! Learns chakra control from just making a cake!
But that gadget using part still makes me sad... Its been a while since I watched that movie. Is anime just going to redo that movie parts or will we get something different?

It will redo the movie parts, but expanded with more plot, more exploration of what side-characters are doing, and more tie-ins with the arcs that are going to happen afterwards (currently going on in the manga).

This is the best episode yet.
I wonder why Sasuke is willing to train Boruto. Either Boruto is going to be much more powerful then his dad, or learning that skill in a few days was done just to fit the story.
Going to be nice seeing Sasuke show Boruto that using tools isn't going to make him stronger.

≫Either Boruto is going to be much more powerful then his dad, or learning that skill in a few days was done just to fit the story.

boruto suposed to be a genius as opposed to naruto who worked hard for everything he achieved despite his already strong birthright powers.
i think sasuke saw a little of itachi in boruto tbh

Compared to the movie, the Sasuke fight was absolutely amazing!

The anime staff really outdid themselves with the animation, way better than how the movie was animated(even though it's the same scene, it still looks much better.)

The whole thing with Konohamaru is hilarious, and i'm glad he is Boruto's captain.

Now the whole thing with the arm device, shows the setting of Old Shinobi vs New Shinobi(in terms of techniques and jutsus), and how it goes on with future arcs.

This really seems like the true beginning of the Boruto series :)

Edit: From the next episode's preview, it seems they'll reuse more animations from the movie.

For example, that Sarada and Sakura moment on the Chunin Exams day.

Edit 2: FINE GEEZ! It's not my fault the movie was released more than a year ago and i forgot all about it when it comes to the animation.

I think they used the movie cuts as a basis for this. Changed/added some stuff in the beginning and the end plus a few more effects in the stuff they kept.

Usually I don't hate Boruto, but cheating is something disgusting. Even in that game, even now to get trained by Sasuke.
For fucks sake Boruto, you didn't even let Sasuke finish his sentence...
Can't wait for the Chuunin exam.

thats the thing though he doesnt understand that cheating is wrong. he believes that any rules that exist dont apply to him. despite hating being called the hokage's son he behaves like the ulitimate cliche of the rebellious child of the person in power.
as long as he is defying Naruto he thinks anything he does is justified.

I'm starting to love the Uchiha family more and more, not gonna lie.

Even though most of the Kenshiki fight is from the movie, it's still really cool.
It's great to see Sasuke actually return to his home as well.

Why did Sasuke never get a second arm like Naruto did? I wonder how much better the fight scene would have been if he had both arms.

rewatching the movie, YEA!

next weak seems diferent, both 8 and one tails appear and killer bee makes an unexpected cameo
