[Nanatsu no Taizai] Episode 9 impressions [The Seven Deadly Sins]

Episode 9
"The Promise with the Loved One"

The did a great job animating Meliodas destroying Danafor!

gotta admit Melioda´s trial made me cry a lil bit

I can't even imagine how painful it'd be to go through that once, never mind having it repeat in front of you again and again whilst you know you can't do anything to stop it.

While I was watching this episode, I got utterly disappointed on how they started it by Meliodas groping Liz' boobs.
But reliving the happy memories they were together and watching the scene where he saw how his beloved one killed, it is really heart-breaking.

I wasn't sure how I felt about it, but then I realized that if she really was his true love then she'd know something was off if he didn't do it at some point. He didn't know how long he'd be there, and he also was testing how real the illusion felt. It's basically his calling card, if someone tried to replace him and didn't mimic that behavior, it'd be obvious it was an imposter.

Jericho was more fixated on the "one bed" thing. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

and she wanted ban to sleep on the bed with her. she want to get hammered by ban's banhammer ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

i've been waiting for more details on this backstory since the very first episode of Nanatsu no Taizai when Meliodas had a flashback of Liz. FINALLY! i love how everything including the destruciton of danafor was animated.
also little Ban looks so adorable <3

Good episode. Personally think Liz is cuter than princess so glad we got screen time, but those couple scene with Jericho tryna get the D actually had me laughing

Meliodas knows exactly what he likes when it comes to women and pets.

Yaaay the backstory of my favorite Sin. Btw why was this episode so late? Last week came later than usually too

i read that they (only one site as far as i know) are trying to improve the subs

I've never been a fan of meliodas' perversion but that was a pretty good backstory ep for him. 'Moving on from the past' and looking towards the future is a theme I always like seeing.

Not wanting to repeat history again was pretty clever too. He literally doesn't want to replay those memories back over again, but he also doesn't want to lose Elizabeth/his new group to the same fate.

Just dropping by to say Jericho is best girl. Okay bye.

Thank you! Jericho>>>>>Elaine

Lol. Who thought Elaine was anywhere close to being interesting at all? She's just another "I love you so much" character. And if people think that adds depth to her, they're wrong. Jericho, on the other hand, is so multi-faceted and deep. You see all her insecurities, her aspirations, and her ideologies. And she has some awesome resulting actions. Jericho is one of the deepest characters on this show and she's motivated by more than love. I don't know if you're caught up on the series as a whole, but you're bout to catch the lame free pass Elaine is about to get regarding Ban.

I kind of wish they had reversed the order and have Ban's story go til mid-point (to be picked up again next week), then have Meliodas's trial be the 2nd half of the episode. It was such a great sequence, but the mood of Ban's story afterwords was too different in comparison.

I wonder where all these talking animals come from. Also seeing Jericho reacting to the innkeeper remarks about the bed was great.

Man, these comments are pretty spoiler heavy. I've been hit by two spoilers of when to expect certain things just scrolling through quickly. Wtf guys.

yea the manga guys are being complete dicks this season.

It's mostly the morons who still jerk off to the 7th sin, those guys are just as annoying on manga discussions
