[Citrus] Episode 11 impressions

Episode 11
"love you only"

I feel like I'm watching death note but with lesbians

I'm picturing Mei eating potato chips furiously and simultaneously doing her homework while glancing at the CCTV camera installed by her grandpa.

"I'm going to take this Yuzu...
...and eat it!"

Tfw you'll never get in a tickle fight with Harumin

The closest we'll get to a canon yuri ahegao.

Mei seems to have developed the ability to transfer her heart into the bear doll.

Yuri is the path to abilities some people consider...unnatural.

Is it possible to learn this power?

Not from a hentai.

Yuzu hit Sara with a picture perfect German Suplex in the bath
with God as my witness, she was broken in half

Mei "I'm getting married to some teacher." Yuzu "but I love you" Mei "ok."
Mei "I made out with my best friend." Yuzu "But I love you." Mei "ok"
Mei "I am going on a date with a strange guy I've never met." Yuzu "but I love you." Mei "ok."
Mei "I'm dating so random girl I met two days ago."
Basically Yuzu does something Mei doesn't approve of so Mei shows no sign of emotion and instead does something to make Yuzu an emotional wreck to the point where Yuzu thinks she is the problem.

≫Mei "I'm dating so random girl I met two days ago."
Well, after 10 eps of melodrama, Yuzu still sticking to the “I think of you as my sister” line would justify Mei slapping her a hundred times with her “My little sister can’t be that cute”esque incest manga.

≫Basically Yuzu does something Mei doesn't approve of so Mei shows no sign of emotion and instead does something to make Yuzu an emotional wreck to the point where Yuzu thinks she is the problem.
Toxic relationships in a nutshell.

I hated this part in the manga (not necessarily a bad thing). I hope watching this animated isn't too hard on my soul.
EDIT: done watching... let's wait another week

≫I hated this part in the manga (not necessarily a bad thing).
I have the same feeling about the latest manga arc, I was impressed that a work of fiction could make me so irritated.

Man poor Sara... Judging on how she looked at that final scene you can clearly tell it's bothering her when she found out that Mei is the one Yuzu was talking about.
As for Nina, it's not like she's doing something terrible, she saw Mei basically dump Yuzu when she was eavesdropping on them so in her mind it's her chance to help out her sister and be her wingwoman.
But I like this though, it's a lot better conflict than the one with Matsuri.

Oh this arc far outshines the Matsuri arc without a doubt. I like both Sara and Nina as characters.

But then again, it's not hard to outshine the Matsuri arc.

This is true. Haha

Mei is popular for sure. She's like an yuri harem protagonist

Complete with being plain and uninteresting.

Well yeah. Citrus is essentially a typical-ish shoujo romance, but with yuri. Shoujo romance typically have tons of "romantic rivals", thus making the romantic moment feeling like the one that is chosen against the odds.

With only 1 ep left, one could hope things would end on a relatively positive note. Rather refreshing for this series to have a rival that isn't crazy evil. It's good to see Yuzu surrounded by great friends but the struggle to communicate is getting rather frustrating.
There's got to be a heated exchange of words next episode to settle their relationship once and for all.

It’s weird cause this arc ends on a major cliff hanger in the manga, but there is a way they could not do that if they just don’t mention certain topics. I’m interested to see how they end the show, but I’m pretty sad to see it go

You can still hope for a second season.
